Sender: toad@sprocket.silverplatter.com From: GreggD Subject: News from the Homefront..... Chris Blake called me last night (To see if I'd fallen off the edge of the earth. I hadn't spoken with him in a coupla months). But he gave me some good scoop. There's not much with the boys in Europe but here it is: 1. Dulcinea went gold last week! That means 500,000 copies 2. "Somethings Always Wrong" single should be available at your local record store as of this Tuesday. The single is backed with 2 live songs "Don't Go Away" and "Corporal Brown". Joe, Chris' assistant, told me that these live tracks were "nearly orgasmic". 3. The video for "Somethings Always Wrong" starts on MTV on Monday. This is the first video that is based on the ideas of the band themselves. They realized that a video was nothing more than a comercial and so.....they parody the Home Shopping Network. Some of the things for sale are: the Perfect Mate, Unconditional Love, God, the Perfect body, and....Toad! Start watching. 4. When the band gets back from Europe late this month, they'll take a couple of weeks off to recupe then hit the road again. The next tour starts Oct 13 in Stockton, CA (probably...all this info is subject to change, of course). Other known dates are Oct 28 at Western Illinois U in Macomb, Ill and Oct 29 at St. Olaf College in Nothfield, Minn. The tour will take them all over the country ending in the Northeast just before Christmas (UGH...I've got to wait until December to see Toad again :(. Chris is having luinch with a booking agent today so I should have more towns, dates, and venues in the next couple of days. 5. The next single will be "Fly from Heaven". No release date yet ("S.A.W." just came out this week!). That's about it for now. More when I know it! Gregg
