Toad Info: Here's the info you've been waiting for...... _Dulcinea_ will be released on May 24th. I know I reported mid-April but that's what I was told :-(. It sounds like it should be worth the wait! Start listening close to the radio on April 27. That's the day the first single will get to the stations. It's called "Fall Down". A snail mail postcard will be going out in the next couple of weeks (they're going to mention this list too!!!!!). If you are not on this mailing list: Send a letter to Toad the Wet Sprocket, PO Box 1761, Santa Monica, CA 90406-1761 and ask to get on it. I hope that you'll already know all the info from this listserv but the pictures are cool! (This one will have stickers on it). That mailing list currently mails to over 50,000 TTWS fans! The mailer will also offer a CD single of unrelease stuff for $3. This is the third in the "Rock & Roll Party All Night" CDs that have been offered to the mailing list. This one will include material that dates back pre-B&C. It was recorded in Glenn's home studio. TOUR INFO: Immediately following the release of the new album, _Dulcinea_, Toad will go on tour. They are co-headlining with the Cranberries! This should be a GREAT COMBO! The tour starts on June 15 in New Orleans. They'll tour for about 3 weeks then pick it up again on August 2nd. It sounds like the second leg will cover more ground bit it too will last only 3-4 weeks. Dates and venues will be posted as soon as I get 'em. Toad will then spend September doing press interviews in Europe. No tour dates set yet. Then come back to the good 'ol US for even more touring. Sounds like a busy rest of '94 for Glenn, Todd, Randy, and Dean. Anyone in the Northeast should drop me an email so we can meet for a brew or two before the shows. DULCINEA: The album was explained to be "the next logical step in the evolution of the songwriting and music of Toad the Wet Sprocket." When I asked what that meant, I was told that it would definitely sound like Toad (no drastic departures) but comparisons to previous albums should be left up to us, the fans! I did learn, however, that this album would be "less produced" than _Fear_. Meaning it will have a more live feeling, less overdubs, and fewer outside musicians. And, for anyone whose ever seen Toad live, this is where they really shine. Sounds range from heart-felt tear jerkers to out-and-out rockers. I'm counting down the days! One last thing--the European version of _Dulcinea_ will have 13 tracks while the US only has 12. Watch those export bins! Finally---Chris Blake, Toad's manager, has asked me to fax him all the corrspondence from this list. Anyone have a problem with that? He's not on the Net yet but seems interested in it. That's it for now. More when I find out! Know me, Gregg
